Professor Ding Lei of NJUPT wins Andrew P. Sage Best Transactions Paper Award. Recently, the 2019 IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics (SMC) Society International Annual Conference was held in Bari, Italy. The paper “An Overview of Recent Advances in Event-Triggered Consensus of Multiagent Systems” published by Professor Ding Lei (first author) of the Institute of Advanced Technology of NJUPT and Professor Qing-Long Han of Swinburne University of Technology, Australia and others was awarded the 2019 Andrew P. Sage Best Transactions Paper Award. The paper is the only award-winning paper of 227 papers published in the IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics (IF = 10.387) of the IEEE SMC Society in 2018.

This award is established by the IEEE SMC Society and is selected once a year. It is awarded to the most original academic theory and technology and important influential academic papers published in the IEEE SMC Society Journal in the previous cycle. The reason why Professor Ding Lei's thesis was awarded are: an in-depth analysis of the theoretical methods and technical means of event-triggered communication and control mechanisms in networked multi-agent systems, providing important theoretical basis and support for the future development of this field.
