NJUPT Apollo3D Team Won Third Place in 2021 RoboCup

  In the 2021 RoboCup held in Bordeaux, France from June 22 to 28, Apollo3D from NJUPT, consisting of Chen Kuihan, Liang Wenzhao, Zhou Huijie, Jiang Tianjian and Shen Yiou from the School of Automation and the School of Artificial Intelligence, won the third place in the 3D simulation robot soccer game with 13 wins, 2 draws and 72 goals in the 19 matches they participated in. NJUPT team was the best among all the Chinese university teams in the competition.

  The RoboCup, which started in 1997, is the top level of robotics competition. As an important event for training and developing high-tech talents, the competition sets 10 events in total, including RoboCup Soccer, RoboCup@ Home, RoboCup Rescue, etc. The competition has attracted many institutions of higher learning from home and abroad, including Carnegie Mellon University in the United States, Oxford University, University of Tokyo, Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, etc. This year's competition had more than 2,000 participants from about 40 countries and regions, including the United States, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Italy, and China.
