NJPUT accomplishes2024 APT Online Training Course on“Internet of Things and Cyber Security in the Era of Big Data”

  Entrusted by the ministry of foreign affairs and APT headquarters and under the specific guidance of the department of international cooperation of the ministry of industry and information technology, APT online training course on “Internet of Things and Cyber Security in the Era of Big Data”was successfully completed in our university on December 3rd. Receiving 28 selected trainees from the communications and information authorities of  9 countries including Afghanistan, Bhutan, Cambodia and etc, the APT online training course started on November 27th and lasted for 7 days. The training course is organized and implemented by the Department of International Cooperation & Exchanges of our university and is co-implemented by the School of Computer Science.

  Vice President Liu Qingshan attended the Opening and Closing ceremonies of the APT 2024 training course and delivered the speeches. On behalf of the school, he welcomed all the trainees of the Asia-pacific Training Course and briefed them on the school-running characteristics and the achievements of international works of NJUPT, which is a national Double First-class Discipline Construction University and Jiangsu High-level Construction University.He pointed out that this year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT), while witnessing the significant contributions made by APT to promoting economic and technological development in the region,  as one of the training bases of APT in China for more than 30 years, NJUPT has been adhering to its initial aspiration and striving for excellence to annually organize the international training courses in telecommunications management and technology to introduce the frontier of science and technology development, cultivating a large number of technical backbones and elites of the industry from various countries in the region. NJUPT is joining APT as its affiliate member and deeply involving in the international cooperation referring to Production, Education, Research and Application that will further contribute to the development of the telecommunications industry in the Asia-Pacific region and the world.  He hoped that  all the trainees would cherish the learning opportunities to strive to master advanced knowledge and  promote the development of science and technology  in the field of communication in the Asia-Pacific region by the outcome of this training.He also hoped that all the trainees could strengthen communication with teachers and deepen exchanges with each other to promote cooperation in the telecommunications industry between countries through the profound friendship cultivated in the training. Furthermore, he suggested that the trainees will fulfill the role as alumni in the future, paying attention to and supporting the school's construction and actively providing advice and suggestions to promote the school's future development.

  In view of the high quality and efficiency of online international training in our school in recent years, APT has arranged our school to go on with online teaching methods to provide cutting-edge science and technology knowledge to more participants from Asia-Pacific countries. This year, APT Headquarters once again sent nearly 30 trainees to receive training, which is the largest number among all training centers in China for the third consecutive year, fully demonstrating their recognition of our training work. Following the experiences we’ve gained, the lecturers adjusted the teaching measures timely to deliver the trainees systematically the latest knowledge in terms of  computer communications, Cyber security, Internet of things and big data. In the training, the professors introduced numerous novel cases as well as demonstrated the application software through the online platform. Under the guidance of the teachers, trainees discussed interactively basing on their own working experience that led the atmosphere of the online classroom lively and active. Through this training, the trainees gain a more profound and comprehensive understanding of the theories and practices of the Internet of Things and Cyber Security in the Era of Big Data. Once again NJUPT fully demonstrates our excellent capability of online teaching management, which is highly praised by the trainees.
